Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Mission Outreach

Calvary Baptist is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Right now we have several foreign missionary that we support and several domestic missionaries. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country, to another part of our country and plant a church,  or live and minister in our own community.

Local Outreach

Calvary Baptist Church believes the greatest mission field is the one right in our own backyard. The local outreach provides a valuable service to the community around us. This includes various projects designed to meet a special need, house visits to visitors who maybe have never been to church and members who haven’t been in awhile, and handing out of gospel tracts and ministering on the street. Without this type of outreach the world around us may never hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Throughout the week we as a church family pray for our pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Van Ministry

Recently Calvary Baptist Church has started a van ministry to help get people who don’t have a way to church here to worship with us. This is a valuable ministry that brings in people from the neighborhoods in and around Milford to allow them to worship with us and also brings in children who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend church and learn of the Savior.

Virtual Bible Study Group

Each week, we at Calvary, have several virtual Bible studies going on. Its can be Pastor Matt or whoever is gifted to teach that hosts these studies and we are always looking for more teachers for mens groups, women groups, and combined groups. Like small groups virtual Bible study is sometimes the best way to make big ideas understandable in a smaller setting.
